WIA and Wi-Fi Alliance Announce Partnership for 2021 Connect (X)

March 9, 2021 by

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Wireless Infrastructure Association (WIA) and Wi-Fi Alliance® today announced their partnership as part of WIA’s 2021 Connectivity Expo –Connect (X) – in Boston, August 3-6.

“We are honored to have the Wi-Fi Alliance as a partner for this year’s Connect (X),” said WIA Executive Vice President, Tim House. “The pandemic has further underscored the importance of fast, reliable connectivity. Wi-Fi plays a crucial role in providing the digital infrastructure that keeps our country online.”

Leadership from Wi-Fi Alliance will deliver a keynote address on the latest generation of Wi-Fi –Wi-Fi 6 – and Wi-Fi 6E expansion into 6 GHz.

“With strengthening global Wi-Fi 6E momentum, broader support for WPA3 security, and accelerating Wi-Fi 6 adoption across more enterprise and vertical markets expected in 2021, Wi-Fi will deliver advanced connectivity and robust security when and where users need it most,” said Kevin Robinson, Senior Vice President, Marketing of Wi-Fi Alliance. “We remain committed to our vision of connecting everyone and everything, everywhere. Our alignment on this principal of universal connectivity makes our partnership with WIA a natural fit.”
