WIA Announces Promotions of Two Key Staff Members

September 25, 2018 by igvsupport

(Sept. 24, 2018) The Wireless Infrastructure Association (WIA) issued the following statement regarding the promotions of Zac Champ and Don Andrew.

“I am pleased to announce the well-earned promotions of Zac Champ and Don Andrew, effective immediately. Zac Champ assumes the new title of Vice President of Government Affairs and Don Andrew is now Vice President of Spectrum Management,” said WIA President and CEO Jonathan Adelstein.

“Zac has led the Government Affairs team for more than five years. He has effectively overseen its expansion to include dedicated Congressional lobbying and state affairs resources. The association has extended its reach and improved on its already excellent reputation under Zac’s leadership,” Adelstein said. “He has forged a team that has become a valued and trusted juggernaut of advocacy for our members and industry, with an impressive track record of success in Washington and states around the country. I am grateful for Zac’s and his team’s many contributions and look forward to more successes to come.”

“Don has been a great leader for our association and is now a growing legend in the spectrum management and frequency coordination industry. We are lucky to have had Don’s skill, dedication and positive attitude as part of the association since he joined WIA in 1994,” said Adelstein. “Over 24 years, and despite significant changes, Don ensured that WIA remained well-positioned as a leader in market share and customer service and has also created a world-class team.”

“The wireless infrastructure industry is at the forefront of 5G deployment. With that comes a level of activity on advocacy issues at all levels of government greater than our industry has ever faced. The work of WIA’s advocacy on the Hill, at the FCC and in the states has never been more important. I’m honored to be able to continue leading this great team,” said Champ

Said Andrew, “Customer service has been the hallmark of the WIA frequency coordination team. Over the past 24 years, our customers have always known that they will receive top-notch service and value. I’m grateful for a fantastic team that has made the last quarter century fly by.”
