The Wireless Infrastructure Association (WIA) issued the following statement from President and CEO Jonathan Adelstein regarding the introduction of S. 3157, Streamlining The Rapid Evolution And Modernization of Leading-edge Infrastructure Necessary to Enhance Small Cell Deployment Act or the STREAMLINE Small Cell Deployment Act.

“I would like thank Sens. Thune and Schatz for their efforts to facilitate the building and deployment of wireless infrastructure. The STREAMLINE Small Cell Deployment Act includes several provisions that will expedite the siting of small wireless facilities. Maintaining American leadership in 5G will require significant investment in broadband infrastructure. We look forward to continuing to work with Sens. Thune and Schatz on S. 3157 as it moves through the legislative process.”
