WIA Congratulates Geoffrey Starks on Committee Approval

June 27, 2018 by igvsupport

The Wireless Infrastructure Association (WIA) issued the following statement from President and CEO Jonathan Adelstein regarding the Senate Commerce Committee’s vote today to approve the nomination of Geoffrey Starks as a Commissioner of the Federal Communications Commission.

“WIA applauds Geoffrey Starks for his approval by the Senate Commerce Committee to serve as Commissioner on the Federal Communications Commission. Mr. Starks’ experience indicates deep qualifications and a keen understanding of the many issues the FCC will face, including the role wireless infrastructure will play in the rollout of 5G. I urge the full Senate to vote on Mr. Starks’ nomination expeditiously.

WIA and the wireless infrastructure industry look forward to working with Mr. Starks to expedite the deployment of the essential wireless networks that expand wireless broadband everywhere.”
