The Wireless Infrastructure Association (WIA) released the following statement from Jonathan Adelstein, President and CEO of WIA, regarding the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Nomination Hearing before the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science & Transportation today.
“The Senate Commerce Committee hearing demonstrated the breadth and depth of the knowledge of all three excellent nominees for the Federal Communications Commission. WIA looks forward to working with a full FCC as it tackles the crucial issues facing the wireless infrastructure industry, which is the foundation that delivers the innovative applications we use daily, as well as life-altering broadband services that improve health care, education and public safety. Under Chairman Pai’s leadership, the FCC stands poised to encourage more investment in building the wireless networks the nation needs to continue as the global leader in mobile communications. We urge the Senate to expeditiously approve these well-qualified nominations.”
