WIA Lauds Wisconsin as 27th State to Enact New Small Cell Law

July 10, 2019 by

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Wireless Infrastructure Association (WIA) commends Governor Tony Evers for signing Wisconsin’s small cell bill into law. This measure, S.B. 239, will help facilitate 5G deployment in Wisconsin.

“Wisconsin now becomes the 27th state to become 5G ready after Governor Evers signed this small cell deployment framework into law. This legislation gives Wisconsin the opportunity to access significant benefits of 5G services from job creation to economic growth to healthcare services that can save and improve lives,” said WIA President and CEO Jonathan Adelstein. “WIA and the telecommunications industry supports this balanced and bipartisan bill, and we commend Governor Evers and the legislation’s sponsors for their commitment to U.S. leadership in 5G.”
