WIA Statement on FCC Draft Infrastructure Order

September 5, 2018 by igvsupport

(September 4, 2018) The Wireless Infrastructure Association (WIA) issued the following statement from President and CEO Jonathan Adelstein regarding the FCC’s draft infrastructure order.

“The FCC’s draft order includes a number of necessary provisions that will help accelerate 5G deployment. For the U.S. to lead the world in 5G, sound policies are needed to encourage wireless infrastructure investment.  As promising as 5G is, it’s only as good as the infrastructure on which it’s deployed. I commend Chairman Pai, Commissioner Carr and all the commissioners for recognizing the critical role of wireless infrastructure for 5G deployment. We are pleased that the FCC has stated its intention to complement the good work of over 20 states that have enacted their own 5G legislation. We look forward to continuing to work with the Commission to ensure the United States remains the world leader in wireless innovation.”
