WIA Statement on House Passage of FAA Reauthorization Act

April 27, 2018 by igvsupport

The Wireless Infrastructure Association (WIA) issued the following statement from President and CEO Jonathan Adelstein regarding today’s passage of the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2018 in the House of Representatives.

“The bill approved today includes an important provision regarding the marking of certain communications towers. As approved, this clarification will protect the safety of low-flying aviation without imposing unnecessary regulations that would have impeded the deployment of next-generation wireless services and could have delayed access to mobile broadband across the country. WIA thanks Chairman Shuster, Ranking Member DeFazio, and Rep. Rouzer for their leadership, and we look forward to continuing to work with the Senate on its FAA reauthorization bill.”
