WIA Statement on New Wireless Law in Colorado

April 24, 2017 by igvsupport

The Wireless Infrastructure Association (WIA) issued the following statement from Jonathan Adelstein, President and CEO of WIA, regarding the signing of a new wireless law in Colorado.

“WIA commends Governor Hickenlooper for signing this crucial piece of legislation. This new law will allow wireless service providers to deploy new wireless facilities efficiently and responsibly in communities throughout Colorado. This law includes streamlining elements that ensure rapid responses from communities, clarity in the application process, and reasonable fee structures that encourage the deployment of mobile networks. It is only through sound regulations and policies such as this law that the wireless industry will be able to provide the next-generation of wireless service to consumers. WIA also is pleased to see industry rally around balanced, common-sense protections for local communities that focus on collocating new facilities on existing infrastructure in the public rights-of way.”
